Proposition 47 – December 2014

Our client was serving his six-year prison sentence for forgery.  After a thorough research of his case file, we were able to determine that the alleged amount of the forgery in his case was under $950.  He qualified for Proposition 47, his case was reduced to a misdemeanor and he was released.

Commercial Burglary – October 2014

Description: Our client was charged with a felony commercial burglary for stealing over $1,500 of items from a store.  Ms. Furman was able to get the case reduced to a misdemeanor.  Client received probation and had to do an 8-hour theft class – no jail!  Client left a 5-star review on Google+!

Restraining Order – December, 2013

Description: Our client was falsely accused of making threats and harassment.  Since our client was working in the medical field, a restraining order would cause him to lose his job. Description: After extensive negotiations with the opposing party, Mr. Zavatsky was able to settle the case to his client’s satisfaction.  The Restraining Order against him was dismissed and he got the visitation order he wanted.


Possession of Ammo by a Felon – October 2013

Description: After extensive research into the Defendant’s criminal history, Ms. Furman was able to show that his prior offense was reduced to a misdemeanor prior to his sentencing.  It was the Court’s mistake that his record was not properly updated and showed that he was a convicted felon.


Assault with a Deadly Weapon Case – May 2011

Outcome: Not Guilty verdict
Description: Ms. Furman’s client was accused of assaulting several people with a firearm.  The best offer from the District Attorney to settle the case before trial was 4 years in State Prison.  After a week-long jury trial, her client was found NOT GUILTY on all counts!
